About Stacy
As a current Foster City Councilmember and former Mayor, I am running for re-election to bring thoughtful, independent, and results-driven leadership to District 2.
I am a mother, attorney, and longtime community advocate who believes that effective public service begins with listening. Throughout my career, I have worked to build consensus, solve problems, and make decisions based on what is best for the people I serve—not special interests.
On the Foster City Council, I have focused on the issues that matter most to families: public safety, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and quality of life. I led efforts to lower speed limits to 15 miles per hour around schools to better protect children and pedestrians, and I have worked regionally to advance stronger safety measures and education around e-bike use. I also restored the City Council’s Code of Conduct to promote accountability, civility, and respect in local government.
As a parent, I understand the importance of creating safe neighborhoods and expanding opportunities for our children. I have been a strong advocate for Safe Routes to Schools and will continue working to ensure our communities are places where families can thrive.
I also recognize that we must address our region’s housing challenges thoughtfully and responsibly. We need practical solutions that expand housing opportunities while preserving the character, safety, and livability of our neighborhoods.
Through my service on numerous county and regional boards, including as Vice Chair of the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County, I have developed the experience and relationships needed to tackle complex countywide issues such as transportation, environmental sustainability, public safety, and infrastructure funding.
